Yesterday it was Vito Genovese. Today it's his protégé, Vincent Gigante. They were the Genovese Family version of Dellacroce/Gotti. People say Gotti was "the last don" but I would have to say Gigante is the last of the old school guys. Maybe put Joey the Clown in there too for the Chicago Outfit. Pretty sure Joey is the only one still alive from that famous pic of Accardo and the boys at that restaurant. I already gave my opinion about Gigante on my first post about him and why I have him as a top 5 boss. On this post I am interested in opinions as to why Gigante wasn't killed by Genovese for botching the Costello hit. It is known Vito Genovese would kill for nothing, why did he give Chin a pass? He didn't even get a demotion.
