My Animal ID # is #A1027359 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am a male bl #brindle and white #pitbull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 9 MONTHS old. 43lbs. A volunteer writes "Oh, hi there! My name is Royale (like royal but even fancier!) and maybe you didn't notice because you were so blinded by my handsome face, but I have a toy in my mouth. It's a plush toy (my favorite kind) and it's shaped like an octopus (so many legs to chew!) and I really really really want to play with it. And you. Forever. Is that something you might be interested in? Just in case my awesome toy isn't enough to win you over (though how could it not be? It's an octopus, people!!!) I have lots of other good stuff to share as well. My volunteer tells me I've got something called 'moxie' and that I'm 'full of beans', which is silly because I don't even like beans, I like dog treats. Do you have any treats for me? I can get a little over-excited when taking them from your hand but it's only because they're so yummy and also because my last family never took the time to teach me these things you call 'table manners'. I really love meeting new people and other dogs and my tail wags super hard when I do because I'm so happy. It also wags when I'm exploring outside or playing tug-o-war or getting snuggles. Let's just say I'm happy a LOT of the time. I pull a bit on the leash but I'm always ready to listen to your voice and I think I might be house trained because I usually wait until we're outside to go potty and my volunteer tells me this is a Very Good Dog thing to do. My Animal ID # is #A1029341 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am a female white and black am #Pitbull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old. 36lbs. A volunteer writes: An adorable face saw me approach....the tail begins to wag.....thump, thump, thump against the sides of her kennel. Never being one to resist a pretty face, Turkey and I had a date! Leashing her and lifting her easily out of her top kennel, I put a coat on her and out we went. Likely housetrained she went potty right away and then we navigated the sidewalk. Snow, ice and ice melt everywhere, it wasn't easy. Turkey is shy, keeping her tail tucked some of the time, but is sweetly affectionate, giving me kisses and happy to be cuddled. Posing for photos, she makes soft eye contact, sits when asked to, and takes treats gently. She seems to love other dogs, tail wagging happily at those we passed. Turkey and I shivered together in the cold, and when the salt began to bother her paws I carried her back to the shelter. Turkey has a healing scar on her back which doesn't seem to bother her and I don't know what happened to cause it. Whatever it is, it was in the past, and we should look to her future as a beloved family companion. She aced her behavior assessment indicating she'll be a good fit in just about any living situation, and if you're lucky enough to meet her first, it could be yours.
