The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS old. 41lbs. ***PRETTY PITTY NEEDS THE HELP OF A NEW HOPE PARTNER!*** A volunteer writes: Paris...who would not want to jump in a plane and enjoy the fun, the arts and the buzz of a city that like ours...never sleeps. Our Paris has only the name of the famous French capital. She is not glamorous, extroverted or dancing with the stars... No, she was found abandoned, wounded, some unknown dogs to us having done a number on her. Indeed, poor Paris was found covered with bites although still "lucky" to be alive and brought to the Manhattan Care Center for treatment. Her body has healed but the assault has left its marks. Paris, a pretty and feminine young girl, is quite wary and walks close to her caretaker, the tail between her legs. She prefers to stay "in house" and does not really want to venture to the yard and certainly not the street. She comes when I call her and lets me caress her. She is not hand shy. We stay put for a while in a quieter corner of the care center for some bonding. She does not seem to be afraid of us, humans. As I bring her back to her quarters, she goes slowly toward a gentle female that showed interest in her. Her tail wags slowly. There might be hope for Paris to trust again her own kind providing the right settings, of course. Sweet Paris is waiting at the Manhattan Care Center for you to give her a chance to see life in a different light, one with care, safety and love.... Will you be the one to rescue her?
