A volunteer writes: This dog is so patient and so serene-even sitting in the middle of the hall as everyone comes and goes-that we would all do well to sit in front of his cage and ask him to teach us how to meditate. How in the world can a dog who appears painfully housetrained wait in silence for hours to go out while watching us walk other dogs? How can he bear watching all the playmates he cries to hang out with walking by? But he does all these things, and when it is finally his turn, his enthusiasm and love light up the room and the park and the world. Attenborough is such a good dog, and boy is he easy on the eyes.
