This tree was #planted in #1956. It #survived #woodstock in #1969. Lived through the end of #Vietnam in #1975 and the #space #shuttle #challenger #disaster in #1986. It stuck to its roots and #stood #tall, like #America, through #911 in #2001. Unfortunately it was reduced to this #stump when #hurricane #sandy hit in #2012. After 56 years.
