Yesterday was a good day and I felt so happy for the opportunity to serve with my church @hillsongnyc. We worked inside like mad to get the tables stocked and in order for the people who had waited in line to come get the things they desperately still need in #Rockaway because of #sandy #hurricanesandy While out pastors and leader worked outside grilling up food to serve those in line. The saddest part of yesterday for me was having to tell the people who were last to come through the line (not because they waited too late but because they were coming from work) that there were no more blankets/comforters even after we had piled the tables high twice! But they say they'll come back.... And thankfully the donations keep coming!And they have too. There is so much need. The most humbling experience from yesterday.... After we had everything ordered and ready, they urged each of us to have something to eat before they opened the doors. They shared. Today for even greater reasons, I give thanks.
